We can do without Kanye

Super excited to see the Lollapalooza line up for this year with one exception....Kanye West. Other than that, it's pretty off the hook. Great to see names like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wilco, Death Cab For Cutie, Broken Social Scene, SONIC YOUTH, Iron & Wine, The New Pornographers, The Flaming Lips, etc. Chicago's Grant Park will be the ideal setting for this summer extravaganza! Hope the weather cooperates and there's at least a lake breeze. Tickets are on sale now!!!!

Great news from up North. Boards of Canada are releasing an EP due in June. We can expect to see Trans Canada Higway on June 6th here in the US.

Head over to Pitchfork for daily updates from SXSW!! Hip Hop fans should check Matt Sonzala's blog for updates on what he's checking out while in Austin.

Next Tuesday will see the release of Roots Manuva's Alternately Deep. This is a collection assembled from music created during the Awfully Deep Sessions. Everything Sherman has heard is out of this world!!! There's some b side material and download only exclusives, as well as, tracks that did not fit on the initial release. UK hip hop at it's finest! Look for Roots Manuva to stop by Cielo on April 6th for an exclusive DJ set!

Guilty Pleasure song for this weekend...."Slip Slidin' Away". That choice is for so very many reasons.

Later gators. Here's something from one of Sherman's many crushes to take you through the weekend.
