The Lovely Tina

Sherman declared yesterday as "Tina Dico Day" in Seattle. Headed over to Borders at noon to check out her instore appearance! Great set! Had the opportunity to spend some time with her in between her Borders gig and a set at our office. She's is not only incredibly talented and beautiful, but a delightful person, as well. Her set in our offices consisted of "Break of Day" and three requests of mine. Talk about a treat! She did "Give In" and "Room With A View" from her In The Red release, but the moment that won't soon be forgotten came when she did an acoustic version of "Home" from the Zero 7 release When It Falls. I am still recovering from that one. Hearing her play this record solo is fantastic. I love the disc, but the songs take on a different tone and texture when it is just a songwriter and her guitar. Her show at Chop Suey last night was a great success! An appreciative audience full of folks singing along and actually dancing was more than welcomed by her. You could see her feed off of everyone's energy. Between her amazing voice, sly smile and playfulness, she had the audience in the palm of her hand. She even hung out afterwards and signed autographs and took pictures with all of her fans!

If you have not had the opportunity to hear her solo performances, look for a forthcoming iTunes session in April! Thanks Tina! Yesterday is a day we will all treasure!

Just heard the new Gotan Project disc Lunatico, and was very impressed. It's a much more organic approach to tango than previous releases. There is a wonderful balance between the strings, piano and electronics. This release has an air of sophistication and depth not heard on their debut release La Revancha Del Tango. This record sees guest performances from Calexico and Argentinean rappers Koxmoz. They are also featured in the latest issue of Straight No Chaser. Look for their new cd on April 11th in the US.

Rumors are already swirling regarding this year's Bumbershoot and each and everyone is a good one! Stay tuned to Sherman's Corner for updates as they become available. Let's just say this could be the strongest festival in years.

Check out Imogen Heap's new Moblog (mobile-blog)! She is looking for photos/video from her last tour to post on the blog. Simply email them to

Some time ago, Sherman picked the track "Shame, Shame, Shame" as a guilty pleasure. Well...check this version!!!! It's a diva-a-thon!

Ok gang, Sherman hits the road tomorrow morning for a week of R & R! There will be a few reports from the road as time permits! Happy weekend! Sherman loves you!!! Here's a little photo chosen by Sprout for your enjoyment!
